Franconia United Methodist Church ("where there are no strangers!") invites you to worship with us Ash Wednesday, Feb 17, 7 pm. “Ash Wednesday, The Day of Atonement” is a dramatic reading to be presented by members of the church. The Chancel Choir will sing part of the scripture from Psalm 51, “Create in Me a Clean Heart.” Narrators and Penitents will present the themes of Lent: Jesus taught us how to face temptation, betrayal, and suffering. Ashes will be dispersed at the end of the service. The ashes are created from last year’s palms and our sins will be offered to God by those present.
