On the last Friday of every month, the Arusha Centre hosts a Happy Hour from 5-7pm. A short presentation from a community organization or activist is made (usually at about 5:30pm).

This month:

We all know that Calgary claims their C-Trains run on windpower, but exactly how does that work? If windpower is so great then why isn’t every province and territory in Canada using it? How does Alberta compare to the rest of Canada in its use of windpower, and how does Canada compare to the rest of the world? What role is wind power expected to play in the future? How can you & your employer use this renewable resource?

Come to the Arusha Happy Hour in January and Alex Day, the Development Officer for the Pembina Institute Wind Power Program, will answer all these questions and more.

Beverage and snacks served up for 100% Calgary Dollars. Federal dollars accepted, too.
