Artworks by Sathya Shiva Kumar. Mysore born Sathya Shiva Kumar holds a Bachelor degree in fine arts from Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishat. He has more than Ten Solo Shows since 1993 to his credits. He has exhibited in major cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Houston and California & his works in collection with Dept. Archeology and Museums Govt. of Karnataka, Mysore and other private collections at Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin USA & Thailand. He also has executed several Murals in the city including one at Shankara foundation at Kanakpura Road. Shivakumar's principals sources of imagery comes from his observation of his immediate surroundings. His figuration portray everyday reality, the subject matter of Shivkumar's works reflects his appreciation, understanding and concern for working people and their living circumstances. His choice of restricted colors mostly Browns and Grays suits the kind of work themes his works depicts. Shivakumar works as freelance artist since his graduation and practice Art. He lives and works at his studio in Bangalore.
