In this talk, fourth in a series of conversations between visual artists and former MoMA curator Robert Storr, New York-based artist Shahzia Sikander discusses her work and the inspiration behind it. Sikander combines traditional motifs with her own iconography to reflect the multicultural traditions of her native Pakistan and address issues related to personal, cultural and sexual identity in her work.
