Starting Tuesday, September 18, 2012, The G2 Gallery will premiere Nature LA: Lisa Gizara, a new exhibit of photography that will debut the artist's series Surreal Escapes. An ongoing project that originated as a thunderhead formed over the Grand Canyon, Surreal Escapes morphs spectacular vistas into otherworldly visions. Lisa's use of infrared creates a powerful sense of color and luminosity that bursts through a limited gray scale palette. Compositionally, the images are reminiscent of Rorschach inkblot tests, symmetrical yet chaotic with organic form.
