Artist Nights at BODY WORLDS 3 July 23, 2008

Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS 3 at the California Science Center is hosting two figure-drawing sessions for artists and students on July 23 and 31. Since the Renaissance, fine artists have gone to great lengths to deconstruct the human form. Thanks to the preservation process of Plastination, human specimens have been stripped down to their skeletal, muscular and cardiovascular systems offering a more convenient means of studying anatomy. Live nude models will pose alongside plastinated whole-body specimens allowing artists to capture the beauty above and beneath the skin.

BODY WORLDS 3 Artist Nights are presented by the Southern California Chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. Admission price for Artist Nights at BODY WORLDS 3 is $16.95 per night with the coupon code SXART. Tickets must be purchased at the Science Center Box Office and participants must be age 18 or older.
