Hook laden guitar/synth modern adaptation of Brothers Grimm stories - soundtrack to your first teenage crush.

Arthur formed in school 2005, a mixed gender line-up, collectively being fans of bands like Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Strokes and so on.

They continued to write and perform whilst they got older, and found more music they liked.

Their sound went through different phases, at one point being described by a local venue as “the soundtrack to your first teenage crush”.

In 2008 they made The "Cinderella Story" EP, their favourite list of songs to date.

They based the theme around modern day fairytales, and bad endings.

Now in 2009, Arthur would describe one half of their current output as a modern adaptation of Brothers Grimm stories and the other as simply love songs with a distorted guitar, synth/piano, hook ridden, and sometimes quite dark sounding musical backing track.

Arthur take great happiness from minor chords, sometimes with their tongues in their cheeks and sometimes not.
