Art Workshop by Sudhir Meher. Born in 1971, Sudhir Kumar Meher obtained a Bachelors in Fine Arts (Painting) degree from the Government College of Art and Crafts in Khallikote, Orissa in 1998. Sudhir has won many Certificates of Merit - for a Sketch Exhibition org ani zed by the Government Art College , Orissa, in 2006 and 1994; from Avantika' a group of Indian contemporary artists in New Delhi in 1997 and for a Fine Art Exhibition, by HAEWF, Sunabeda in 1996. Sudhir had a solo show at Right Lines Art Gallery , Bangalore in 2004. He has taken part in a group show at Grand Ashoka Hotel, Bangalore in 2008; Group Exhibition at Hotel Central Park, Bangalore in 2004; Two man show at Right Lines Art Gallery, Bangalore in 2003; National Exhibition of Art, New Delhi and Annual Exhibition of Lalit Kala Akademi, Karnataka in 2001; HDFC Bank, Malleswaram branch, Bangalore in 2000; Annual Exhibition org ani sed by Lalit Kala Akademi, Orissa in 1993-98 and 1989; Annual Exhibition at Government College of Art and Crafts, Khallikote, Orissa from 1994 to 1998; 9th Rashtriya Kala Mela, Avantika' - 5th All India Art Exhibition of a group of Indian contemporary artists in New Delhi and Lalit Kala Kendra, Bhubaneswar, Orissa in 1997; 4th state level fine art exhibition org ani sed by HAEWF in Sunabeda, Orissa in 1996 and 8th Rashtriya Kala Mela, Bangalore in 1995. Sudhir has also taken part in many artists' camps and workshops: 1996 - Art camp Contribution to the success of the AIDS Awareness Programme' org ani sed by NSS; 1997 - Netaji Subash Chandra State youth cultural festival, Orissa; Workshop on pata paintings org ani sed by Handicrafts Development Centre, Bhubaneshwar, Orissa; 1998 - A camp Sea-life' org ani sed by the Government Art College, Orissa at Gopalpur; 2004 - The Signature camp for Peace' a 40 metre long canvas painting by four artists, org ani sed by "Prarambh" an NGO on 15th August at MG Road , Bangalore . Sudhir has attended several art camps and workshops in India . His paintings are in numerous collections in India and abroad. He currently lives and works in Bangalore .
