“Art with a Message” Exhibition Supports School Art Program May 18, 2012

The art department of Tucson’s La Paloma Academy will turn the Lakeside campus auditorium into an art gallery on Friday, May 18 for a public opening night of the “Art with a Message” exhibition. Doors will open at 5pm, with the $1 donation entry fee going toward funding next year’s art program at the K-8, tuition-free charter school. The art showcase will feature conceptual artwork in multiple mediums, created by La Paloma’s junior high students. Displayed works will include mixed media paintings, drawings, sculptures and select installations. The public is invited to attend the opening in support of the school’s young artists and the continuation of the vital school arts program. Music will accompany the exposition and hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available
