Art Practical is collaborating with 826 Valencia and Catharine Clark Gallery on an art writing workshop for youth. The workshop will span over three weekends (two at CCG and one at 826 Valencia) in March.

Continuing Art Practical's mission to encourage discourse surrounding the visual arts in the Bay Area, they will be hosting two workshops at Catharine Clark Gallery with middle-school kids aged eleven to fourteen, and a final session that takes place at 826 Valencia. Over the course of the workshops, the kids will produce their own pieces of art writing in response to Catharine Clark Gallery's anniversary show, and Art Practical will publish a selection of them as "Shotgun Reviews" on their site.

The workshop coincides with Catharine Clark Gallery's celebration of their 21st anniversary and is part of a series of events that recognizes the unique themes and valuable partnerships that have formed the gallery's identity since 1991.
