The Beat Museum in San Francisco is proud to present a special exhibition: a series of original artwork by the late and great Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead singer, lover, and poster child of the 1960s. Ranging from oil paintings to drawings and sketches of his work, these dozen pieces made between 1992 and 1994 showcase an intensely creative and inquisitive mind of a well-celebrated and known man.

Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road” had a tremendous influence on Garcia’s lifestyle – while here, we invite you to check out our extensive Beat collection including relics from Kerouac himself as well as other Beat influentials and like-minded individuals like Allen Ginsberg, Neal Cassady, and William S. Burroughs. Peruse our vast gift shop and take a tour as well!
