Art of Time Ensemble's The Songbook II June 20, 2008

Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page headlines the Art of Time Ensemble’s The Songbook II for two nights only on June 20 and 21. Accompanied by some of Canada’s finest musicians, Page will perform fresh new arrangements of popular songs by Elvis Costello, Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon, Rufus Wainwright and more! Also accompanying Page on the saxophone is Phil Dwyer, who along with Gavin Bryars, Rob Carli and others has arranged the music for this thrilling performance. The Songbook II is an innovative concert that combines talented artists and songwriters from the worlds of classical, jazz and pop music. Led by brilliant pianist Andrew Burashko, Art of Time is one of Toronto’s most innovative ensembles and has received acclaim for breaking down barriers in musical genres, and bringing outstanding talent to the stage.
