"Art Metropolis" May 13, 2006

Art Metropolis is a monthly evening art festival, taking place in downtown Los Angeles. All media and forms of art are encouraged: prints, toys, photography, installations, animations, graffiti, projections, drawings, paintings, sculptures... Each monthly festival will feature one to three artists and will also include instrumental music, electronic music and films, which will together contribute to a specific theme or idea. Our purpose is to promote art to artists, musicians and young art collectors, who normally can only afford a gem with a low price. All the art on the evening of the event will be for sales. The price will be strictly under $200 and artists are entitled to 85% of the sales. 15% of art sales and all other proceeds will benefit ArtShare, a non-profit organization, that inspires under-served urban youngsters through art to transform their lives.
