Through the beauty of art, Art Soiree is celebrating the revitalization and redevelopment of The Washington Harbour in Georgetown, presenting the Art Metamorphosis Gala on Thursday, June 14 from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. For one night The Washington Harbour at 3050 K Street in the nation’s capital will be transformed into an artistic epicenter with live art creation, entertainment, food, and drinks. The artwork will remain on view from Friday, June 15 through Sunday, June 17.

Twenty-six (26) innovative artists of DC and beyond – one for each year of existence of The Washington Harbour – will create works of art in front of attendees. Artistic video and light installations, live music, DJ, and a hair and fashion show by Roche Salon will enhance the transformational experience and lively atmosphere. Nick’s Riverside Grille and Tony & Joe’s Seafood restaurants will offer delicious samplings of their new menus, opening their doors for the first time since renovation.

Event admission is free, however an online ticket reservation is required, available at http://theartsoiree.com/2012/05/art-metamorphosis-gala-at-washington-harbour/

Art Soiree is presented in partnership with The Washington Harbour, MRP Realty, Nick’s Riverside Grill, Tony & Joe’s Seafood, and Roche Salon. Art Metamorphosis Gala is the first event within a greater Art Metamorphosis Project, a unique way to transform and redevelop spaces through the beauty of art. Learn more at Art Soiree.

The Washington Harbour presents free outdoor entertainment on the plaza all through summer. See the list of musicians, children’s performers, and other special events at www.TheWashingtonHarbour.com/events.
