Jan Testori-Markman’s “Rust Paintings” collection embodies the regeneration of nature’s lifecycle, showing the inevitability of growth and decay. In this series, rusted iron filings add a feeling of nostalgia to her images of plant life.

Jan Testori-Markman has integrated her experience in apparel, jewelry design and fine arts to create a collection of work, rich in detail, using rust to form a unique alliance of painting and alchemy.

Exhibition: September 1 – October 31.

Opening Reception (free; open to the public): Thursday, September 22 from 6-9 PM.
