Art exhibition by Francois Berot. Give a Dog a Bad Name and Hang Him is an English proverb which means if someone acquires a bad reputation it can not dispose. This proverb can be interpreted two ways : if we give a bad reputation it destroy someone, and if someone give himself bad reputation he will be destroy only half. In all religions, mythologies and beliefs is the dog many contradictory aspects. Between wildlife and domestication, life on earth and beyond life, it can be revered as much as despised. Its duality made it an extremely rich character that embodies the ambivalence. The attraction/repulsion that causes by the dog identifies with the Western appreciation of India.
