View an exhibit of photographs and collages by Dan Eldon, www.daneldon.org, a young artist and journalist killed while reporting on famine in Somalia in 1993 (He was 23.) at the Edmonds Community College art gallery, third floor of Lynnwood Hall.

Meet Eldon’s biographer Jennifer New, www.jennifernew.com, 12:30 p.m., Wed., Jan. 26 in the Black Box Theatre. New has published two books, “Dan Eldon: The Art of Life” and “Drawing From Life: The Journal as Art.” Attend a reception for the exhibit 4-6:30 p.m., Fri., March 4 in the art gallery.

The Edmonds Community College Art Gallery hours are 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Friday and 1-5 p.m., weekends. The spring exhibit will be “Therapy of Hope: Paintings by Cameroonian Artist Max Lyonga Sako.”
