Art Department is pleased to present works by photographers Matt Odom and Ellen DiResta on exhibit from Friday, October 23rd through Saturday, November 7th, 2009.

Matt Odom (aka ATARICHARM) is a rapidly emerging commercial and fine art photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. In the past year, he's completed projects for Coca Cola, Verizon, Discovery Channel, The Indigo Girls, Amy Ray, and countless private clients. His subjects and settings are both accessible and still strangely distant. At Art Department Odom will be debuting pieces from his new series “Look Up” as well as showcasing some of his better-known works.

Also based in Atlanta, Ellen DiResta’s photographs focus on the cinematic way in which people move through life. With their powerful influence of light and texture, these works describe the peaceful, innocent seconds of life. Within these seconds DiResta explores the natural movement people make without thinking, and challenges the viewer to block out life’s natural chaos and be drawn in by its silent whispers.

This exhibition featuring works by Matt Odom and Ellen DiResta opens on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 with a reception from 7pm until 11pm featuring music from Steven Quinn and Daniel Gresham. The exhibition will be on display until Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at Art Department, Pavilion at Studioplex, 659 Auburn Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30312.
