Janai-Ami is California's leading colorist and a primitive, with no training in the arts. She began painting in response to 9/11. She paints contemporary florals. Her use of color is extraordinary & Award-winning; she has been a repeat winner of many Nationally Juried Artshows throughout the country. Her works are part of several important private collections, as well as several Permanent Museum Collections, including the Museum of History and Art in Ontario and the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. Her work debuted internationally at the US Ambassador's Residence and the US Embassy in Maputo, Africa. Early work may be seen at Janai-Ami dot net and this small exhibit of approximately ten pieces will include many early works never before shown as well as several NFS pieces from the Artist's own personal and private collection. Several pieces will be for sale. The show begins 9/4 and continues thru Election Day tuesday 11/3/2008. The artist is a cancer survivor and an ardent animal lover and companion animal rights activist.
