Art Against AIDS® February 15, 2007

The Junior Board of Heartland Alliance hosts Art Against AIDS® 2007, supporting Heartland Alliance’s services for people living with HIV/AIDS, with an exciting live and silent fine art auction. More than 100 works of art in a variety of mediums, including original pieces by local artists and artists from across the country, will be available for purchase at this philanthropic after-work party. Honorary art jurors include Allison Peters, Director of Exhibitions for the Hyde Park Arts Center, Aaron Baker, Curator for Playboy’s Corporate Art Collection, Steven Zick, Vice-President and Head of Office at Christie’s Fine Art Auctioneers in Chicago, and Chuck Gniech of the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago.

Heartland Alliance’s Junior Board is comprised of dynamic young professionals from the Chicagoland area committed to bettering society. This auxiliary board strives to be Chicago’s premier anti-poverty and human rights organization for young professionals. The Board advances Heartland Alliance’s mission by increasing its visibility throughout the community and creating a point of entry for young professionals to establish a life-long relationship with Heartland Alliance. Art Against AIDS® will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 6 to 10p.m. at The James hotel in Chicago. Tickets are $100 per person, in advance and prior to February 15, or $125 per person at the door.
