Arsenic and Old Lace October 22, 2009

This comedy about wicked, kind, charming, diabolical old ladies was written by Joseph Kesselring. Abby and Martha take in boarders, usually men with nowhere to go, just waiting out their time. The good sisters feel so sorry for the men, they feed them arsenic and bury them in the basement. The plot gets interesting with the antics of their brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt, a fugitive murderer and a man driven nearly to madness trying to keep it all together.
