Armed Forces Day Weekend Event June 26, 2010

This two day weekend event is being organised by Weston-super-Mare Town Council and will feature static vehicle displays, marching bands, arena events, working field kitchens and much more on both days.

On Saturday night the Royal British Legion are holding a 40's/Vera Lynn era, themed buffet dance in the Winter Gardens with music provided by the RAFA Band (Ticket price to be announced, fancy dress and uniforms optional).

On Sunday there will be a thanksgiving service with a standards parade in the morning followed by an open air Beating the Retreat/Sunset concert to close the show in late afternoon. The show is supported by Combined Cadet forces, and full time Armed Services along with other support groups and charities.

There is no charge for entry to the daytime show.
