Building upon the success of last year's inaugural event, Manchester is once again proud to host Armed Forces Day. The event honours the outstanding contribution made by current members of the Armed Forces and by veterans of all ages.



On 26 June, Manchester will show its appreciation and support of the Armed Forces and veterans with an afternoon of big bands, food and drink and interactive activities taking place in the city centre.



Piccadilly Gardens, 12 noon – 4pm



• Military taster sessions with Civilian Military Fitness
• Military activities
• Information vehicles from the forces

Albert Square, 12noon – 4pm



• Military veteran parade at 1pm
• The Band of the Lifeguards, from Hyde Park London, Greater Manchester Police Band and other live music throughout the afternoon
• Food and drink available on the Square
• Family friendly art activities inside the Town Hall
• Cream teas at the Town Hall Sculpture Hall
• Stalls around the Square with information about Cadets, the Royal British Legion and veterans organisations

Special offers for Armed Forces Personnel and Veterans
Armed Forces personnel and veterans will be able to enjoy a collection of bespoke special offers which will be available on 26 June, on production of the Veteran Badge or Armed Forces ID card*.
