Armed Forces Day - Flag Raising Ceremony June 25, 2012

In addition to the event on 30th June, it has been customary over the past few years to hold a flag-raising ceremony at which the Mayor will hoist the commemorative flag to mark the lead-up to Armed Forces Day. This will take place on Monday 25 June and you are invited to join the Mayor at the flag-pole, located on the Piazza at the Civic Centre, at 10.55am in advance of the short ceremony commencing at 11.00am. At the conclusion of the ceremony, tea/coffee will be served in the Mayoral Suite.

NOTE: Medals and decorations to be worn.
