Union Street
Aberdeen, Scotland AB10 1QS

Once again, the City of Aberdeen will host AFD to allow its citizens the opportunity to show their appreciation of our armed forces and veterans. Serving armed forces personnel along with veterans, cadets, and military vehicles will come together to celebrate an awareness and the valuable contribution made to our daily lives by all their efforts during their time of service to our country. The parade will feature well over 1000 participants and will be led by the massed pipes and drums from pipe bands across the North East of Scotland. The day will allow us to remember the contribution made by all Armed Services personnel, past and present from the business world through to the community at large.

The parade starts at 11.00am from Albyn Place and proceeds down Union Street, finishing at King Street. The salute will be taken outside the Town House by Aberdeen’s Lord Provost and senior commanding officers from the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. During the parade, there will be a military flypast from RAF Lossiemouth.
There will be a social gathering after the parade at the Gordon Barracks where participants can relax and reminisce.

ALL veterans are welcome to take part in the parade.
