Big Brother Big Sister Foundation will be onsite collecting donations of lightly used clothing and small household items. Residents may also drop off a variety of home items to be recycled.
Electronics
- TVs and Computer Monitors for $10.00 per item (curbside pickup is $20).
- Laptops or small appliances/devices with a cord are free (ex: toaster ovens, microwaves, hair dryers).
- No Large Appliances will be accepted.
- Electronics such as digital cameras, pagers, cell phones (a full list can be viewed here).
Old Medications and Sharps
- Arlington Board of Health will be collecting old medications and syringes. Syringes must delivered in closed container, such as a coffee can or laundry detergent bottle.
Paper
- Books: hardcover or paperback, big or small, old or new, fiction or non-fiction, no encyclopedias.
- Recycle piles of old papers, junk mail, catalogs, newspapers, and magazines.
- Residents can bring confidential papers for shredding. The first 2 boxes are free.
Additional boxes are charged $5 / box. Businesses pay per box.
Bicycles
- Donate your adult bicycle to Bikes Not Bombs. Bikes are repaired and shipped overseas. A $10 contribution is requested to offset cost of shipping. Badly rusted bikes will not be accepted.
Bottles & Cans
- Returnable bottles and cans will be collected by Arlington High Schools S.A.V.E.
Scrap Metal
- Pipes, metal shelves and desks, file cabinets (no large appliances), and propane tanks (up to 20 lbs).
Batteries
- Non-alkaline batteries including car batteries
