This exhibit examines the lives and careers of three people whose lives intersected at the Nippur archaeological site in what was then known as the Ottoman Empire: Turkish painter/archaeologist Osman Hamdi Bey, American archaeologist/photographer John Henry Haynes and German archaeologist Hermann Vollrath Hilprecht.
