Following 8 years of rumours, high hopes and false alarms, Australian metal fans' patience is finally rewarded. Arch Enemy is coming to tear the place apart!

Emerging from the mind of legendary Carcass guitarist, Michael Amott, Arch Enemy quickly garnered praise and respect for their 1997 debut Black Earth, followed quickly by seminal masterpieces Stigmata & Burning Bridges.

However, the band only really began to fulfill their awesome potential with the addition of outstanding vocalist Angela Gossow for 2001's critically acclaimed Wages Of Sin. Showered with praise, the album proudly claimed a position on top of just about every metal end-of-the-year "Best Of..." list.

The metal underground had found their new messiah. And their fans were certainly proved discerning as the band's live performances brought a new level of musicianship, growling and glamour to extreme metal. Surely no other band has ever been declared the highlight of the evening by Metal Hammer when sharing a stage with the likes of Slayer & Hatebreed?

2005 has seen the release of Doomsday Machine. Arch Enemy has delivered, without doubt, the album of its career and the band is about to redefine the genre that they helped to create with their most ambitious world tour.
