Internet sensation Regretsy is an influential and groundbreaking blog that exposes the fail culture of the DIY movement to uproarious lengths, and has resulted in a best-selling and hysterical book, Regretsy: Where DIY Meets WTF. At the heart of Regretsy is creator and author, April Winchell (aka Helen Killer), whose scathing commentary and razor-sharp wit have defined snark.

This is your opportunity to meet April Winchell up close and personal, get your book signed, and experience the Regretsy phenomenon firsthand. April has been appearing to standing-room only crowds, and inspired themed parades, contests, and bad craft displays around her signings.

From The Elliott Bay Book Company website:
Based on the eponymous hit blog and arranged in categories such as Décor, Pet Humiliation, and Christmas, Regretsy showcases the best of the worst, ranging from the hilariously absurd to the purely horrifying. Each page of this jaw-dropping volume features the actual seller’s online listing with a light coat of snarky commentary to give it a good shellacking. So join us as we descend into handmade hell and gawk, gasp, and marvel at the disturbingly odd artifacts that Regretsy has collected for your viewing pleasure, proving that you can never have too much of a bad thing.

About April Winchell:
According to Los Angeles Magazine, April Winchell is the 21st funniest person in L.A. (which is apparently funnier than Eddie Izzard, but not quite as hilarious as Johnny Knoxville). She has enjoyed a multi faceted career in the entertainment business, owing in large part to her extremely limited attention span. She has hosted her own popular talk radio show, written for the classic sitcom, "Roseanne," voiced hundreds of animated movies and television programs (her father, the late Paul Winchell, was the original voice of Tigger), and as a copywriter and producer, has won every major advertising award in the world. In October of 2009, she created the hit website Regretsy.com, which led to the publication of "Regretsy: Where DIY meets WTF" in April of 2010.

This appearance is going to be spectacular. I hear rumors about a slideshow; April's multimedia presentations are becoming infamous. Did you hear who showed up at the last Santa Monica appearance?
