Appraisal appointments are available for the following types of items:

Books, Maps, and Manuscripts.
Born in England in 1953, appraiser Edward Ripley-Duggan started in the book trade in 1975. He has been a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America for well over a quarter-century and has published over forty catalogs.

Furniture and Decorative Arts.
Appraiser David Gallagher has twenty-five years of experience in the appraisal and cataloging of works of art and furniture. He is the former President of the Appraisers Association of America.

Prints and Paintings.
Appraiser Cynthia Klein joined Doyle New York as Director of the Prints Department in 2000 and is responsible for the cataloging and sale of prints and drawings in over twenty-five auctions each year. Ms. Klein was previously with C.G. Sloan & Company Auctioneers of North Bethesda, Maryland, since 1991, where she was the Director of Prints and a Specialist in the Paintings Department.

All three have appeared as specialists on The Antiques Roadshow, a WGBH production televised nationwide on the PBS network.

There is a requested $25 donation for the first item and $20 for each additional item. All proceeds benefit the Library Company.

Limit 3 items per person. Size of items limited to what can be carried; photographs are acceptable.
