APPLEBEE’S NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL & BAR SET TO OPEN AT THE GATEWAY CENTER AT BRONX TERMINAL MARKET ON AUGUST 31, 2009 August 31, 2009

Apple-Metro, Inc. opens its 30th Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar on August 31, 2009 at the Gateway Center at Bronx Terminal Market, located in the West Haven neighborhood of the Bronx on the Hudson River. The opening of this new Applebee’s marks Apple-Metro’s second of three locations set to open this year. Apple-Metro recently opened another Bronx Applebee’s earlier this month in Fordham Plaza – their fourth Bronx location to date. A Harlem Applebee’s is set to open in November.

All proceeds from the VIP Opening Party – which will take place on Saturday, August 29 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm – will be donated to the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz, Jr., will be on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon on Saturday evening.

“With the opening of our second Bronx Applebee’s this year at the Gateway Center at Bronx Terminal Market, Applebee’s will continue to give back to the community by creating jobs and also by donating 100% of proceeds from our VIP Opening Party to the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, which has two clubhouses located in the Bronx,” explained Zane Tankel, owner of the restaurant and CEO of Apple-Metro, Inc.

Not only does this sit-down, casual dining restaurant in the Gateway Center at Bronx Terminal Market offer a comfortable environment for 260 guests to enjoy their food, this location will also offer free Wi-Fi and Personal Viewing Systems, enabling guests to hear what they are watching on Applebee’s Flat Screen TVs.

Applebee’s at the Gateway Center at Bronx Terminal Market will open to the public officially for lunch at 11am on Monday, August 31. The restaurant’s regular business hours will be Monday through Thursday, from 11am to 1am; Friday and Saturday, from 11am to 1am; and Sunday from 11am to midnight. To-go service will be available to the community.
