Appalachian Cove and Cypress Swamp March 31, 2010

This two-story, glass-covered walkthrough introduces visitors to two environments: 'Appalachian Cove,' which includes a mountain stream and lake display featuring live fish, as well as free-flying birds. The 'Cypress swamp' area is a recreation of an important and endangered habitat. It features a variety of swamp plants and creatures, including large cypress and tupelo tree trunks, alligators and a snapping turtle.
