APO Arts Academy 2012 Summer Camp January 15, 2012

A challenging and rewarding week of intensive dance training from leading Australian dancers and musical theatre performers is on offer, with APO Arts Academy opening its 2012 Summer Camp for enrolments. The Summer Camp offers dancers and musical theatre students a taste of APO’s industry recognised courses, led by highly accomplished members of its full-time teaching faculty.

Available to local, interstate and overseas students of all ages, places at the Camp are popular among performers looking to further their studies, hone their skills and expand their dance repertoire. Classes include tap, bal-let, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, technique and dynamics, repertoire, Spanish dance, musical theatre, group vocals, acrobatics and acting.

Separate programs are offered for Senior Performing Arts and Classical (13 years+: beginner, intermediate and advanced), Junior Performing Arts and Classical (7-12 years: age groupings), and Babies (3-7 years: two classes per day). The Senior and Junior Summer Camp runs Monday 16 through Saturday 21 inclusive; 9.30am to 4.30pm, and classes are conducted at APO Arts Academy’s heritage-listed South Melbourne campus. The Babies course runs January 17-18 for 1.5 hours each day.
