The Toledo Chapter of APICS, The Association for Operations Management, is proud to announce the offering of “Detailed Scheduling and Planning” at the Betco Corporation training center in Toledo, Ohio. The course will run 9 weeks every Thursday starting September 25, 2008 from 6 pm until 9 pm.

Detailed Scheduling and Planning focuses on the various techniques for material and capacity scheduling. Participants will study detailed descriptions of material requirements planning (MRP), capacity requirements planning (CRP), inventory management practices, and procurement and supplier planning.

Topics include:
• Recognizing Techniques and Practices of Inventory Management
• Mechanics of the Detailed Material Planning Process
• Planning Operations to Support the Priority Plan
• Planning Procurement and External Sources of Supply

The course will be led by Otto Steele. Otto is the Planning Leader at Owens Corning. Otto holds a CPIM certification (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) in addition to the CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager).

The Toledo chapter has in excess of 340 members and is operated by local professional volunteers as a non-profit organization.
