This evocative evening of performances by dancers, actors, and playwrights includes meditations on childhood trauma, war, and the intersection of public and private spaces. The night also includes a preview of featured APAture filmmaker Madeleine Lim's documentary, "Who is an Afghan?"

Kearny Street Workshop's APATURE FESTIVAL is an annual multidisciplinary arts event presenting the work of emerging Asian Pacific American (APA) artists living and/or working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now in its eighth year, APAture includes a visual arts show, film screenings, workshops, literary readings, performances in spoken word, music, dance, theater, and other performance genres, and an area for zinesters and comic artists to display and sell their work. Experience the sights, sounds, and spirit of over 100 Asian Pacific American artists at eight Mission District venues.
