The Politics bio, on Covert Curiousity: "The Politics is new local band that formed in February 2006 and is comprised of brothers Patrick (guitar, vox) and Steven Gonzalez (drums), and Andrew Campbell on bass. This trio of Texans has so far released a three-track EP titled About A Liar and are currenly in the studio recording their next disc which is set to be released this December, with their first music video precipitating that in November.
28-200 bio: "28-200 is a versatile camera lens with wide range, but more importantly - it's a musical entity from Denver. Their alliance began in the visual realm. As fine art photographers, for years Mister L and Aimée found their artwork hanging side-by-side in gallery exhibitions. A conversation at an opening revealed that their common interests extended into the sonic realm. 28-200 seemed like an obvious moniker for their tonal collaboration. The two are inspired by a myriad of musical genres, from surf to goth. They combine dark guitar melodies with sweltering vocals to create a unique sound that is hard to classify. 28-200's music is intellectual and artistic, yet approachable and infectious. Mister L and Aimée rotate instruments when in the studio. Their live show consists of dual guitars with a touch of keys. Programmed and recorded tracks deliver the pounding rhythm during performances. Never fear, this duo makes as much noise as any five-piece band."
