APACHE BEAT (New York, NY)
Starting with shades and shards of Roxy Music and the Pixies, Krautrock and new wave, Apache Beat meet their music collections halfway with an unparalleled brand of avant-rock that’s aggressive and intricate as hell. And then there’s the brooding vocals of Ilirjana, a stage-seizing frontwoman with effortless style (as celebrated in the pages of Jalouse, V, British Vogue and Elle).
"An intricately layered, incessantly dance-y mini-epic." NY Magazine
“Imagine a band with the postpunk funkiness of a Rip Rig & Panic and a singer to match Neneh Cherry.” - The Guardian
“On record they may have krautrock pretensions, but the Germanics have clearly been left at the studio because, like the Pretenders playing post-Green Day grunge, this is pure hair-raising adrenaline pop.” - NME

2000 FAST WOMEN
Formed by a clasically-trained multi-instrumentalist and a pirate radio DJ, and propelled by a rhythm section composed of Max Taylor (Roots Manuva / Groove Armada / Clor) and drummer John Maiden (Tricky), 2000 Fast Women blend expert musicianship with a strong party element.
Their debut single "Letters From Vienna" - owing as much to 80s two-tone as it does contemporary hip-hop and indie-rock - was released in October and scored Radio 1 airplay from Rob Da Bank, Goldierocks and more.

PIPPA MARIAS
“It sounds like Zdar/Cassius/Phoenix style French dance pop, but with more of an edge. Then you realise it’s because they’re Swedish, and as we all know, the Swedes OWN good dance inflected pop music" - Gill Mills (Best of Myspace)
