AP4 at Twins Jazz September 4, 2008

AP4, led by award winning jazz guitarist Alex Pinto, is making its East Coast debut. Pinto, originally from Bethesda MD, is the leader of this exciting young LA based group that is a collision of sounds, blending the modern jazz vocabulary with North Indian Classical music and the rock aesthetic of the 90s. Joined by Jon Armstrong on Sax, Dave Tranchina on Bass, and Andrew Munsey on Drums, the group is making a splash in the LA jazz scene, having performed extensively in the downtown area and having been selected as an LA Weekly online edition editor's pick for music. Pinto, fresh off his 3rd prize win at the prestigious Gibson Montreux Jazz Guitar competition, is an emerging young talent, already making strides in the global jazz community.
