A madcap farce set in the 1930s on an ocean liner bound for London from New York, Anything Goes boasts a brilliant script, delightfully witty songs, and huge dance numbers. The S.S. American, sailing from New York to England, carries an unusual group of passengers, amongst them a gangster, a wealthy debutante and her mother, a nightclub singer, and a New York businessman and his stowaway assistant. A group of sailors and passengers contribute to the antics, which include plenty of romance, zany disguises, and a rousing revival. The score features numerous classic Cole Porter songs, including I Get a Kick Out of You; You're the Top; and It's Delovely.

YMTC shows attract a broad audience to their professional quality productions; the group is a magnet for exceptional young performers from all over the Bay Area. This production of ANYTHING GOES brings together talented students from Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, El Cerrito, San Francisco, and Richmond. Known for the skill of its actors/singers and beautifully designed and crafted sets, costumes, props, and full orchestra, YMTC showcases talented teens, many of whom go on to some of the best theater programs in the country.
