North Mada Street, Mylapore
Chennai, Tamil Nadu

The antique jewellery festival at NAC, Mylapore, comprises 500 varieties of ornamental pieces, with each designed uniquely. The collection has been put together after years of tracking and collecting valuable ancient jewellery especially of Chettinad and Nagercoil styles. There is also an extensive collection of corals, some in the form of pendants. NAC had earlier organised a similar show in the U.S. The ornaments on display here include netti chuttis, raakodis, jhumkas, odiyanams and a heavy ruby and diamond Naga pendant that depicts Krishna and the six-headed snake. Besides, there are large pendants with images of gods.
