Some of the charities NiteLites supports include local youth sports teams, local orphanages, Lance Armstrong's Live Strong Campaign, Katrina Relief Fund, Meals on Wheels, Caring for Children, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Cystic Fibrosis, the Alzheimer's Association, Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Shelter for Abused Women, and the Humane Society.
NiteLites prides itself on it's collection of lighting fixtures that meet the International Dark Sky Association's (IDA) requirements as having dark sky friendly products. The International Dark Sky Association is a membership-based non-profit organization whose mission is to work to preserve and protect the nighttime environment and our heritage of dark skies through quality outdoor lighting. The association's approach to this goal is to encourage outdoor lighting manufacturers and planners to utilize fixtures which control the beam of light as well as for the fixtures to be low voltage. In this way, lighting pollution, excessive glare, and light trespass can be prevented.
