Annie is a spunky, Depression-era orphan, living a hard-knock life determined to find her parents. Her parents abandoned her ten years ago on the doorstep of the New York City Municipal Orphanage, which just happens to be run by the embittered and tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Things may seem very bad, especially at Christmas, but feisty Annie carries a song in her heart and hope in the only things she has left of her parents- a locket and letter. Annie escapes the orphanage, befriends President Roosevelt and finds a new family and home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace Farrell and a loveable mutt named Sandy- with plenty of mischief and music in between.
Its upbeat plot and flamboyant characters have made Annie one of the most beloved musicals in history.
