Best-selling author of Bel Canto, Truth & Beauty and most recently Run in 2007, Ann Patchett has won numerous awards for her writing. Born in Los Angels, in 1963, Patchett was raised in Nashville and attended Sarah Lawrence college and the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop.
