The public is encouraged to attend a meeting hosted by the Ann Arbor Senior Center Task Force to discuss options for either sustaining the activities at the Senior Center in a financially-responsible manner, or for providing seniors with reasonable access to activities at alternative locations. Public input is sought, and your comments and ideas are welcome.

The Ann Arbor Senior Center annually serves approximately 500 adults, ages 50 and better, who visit between 12,000 and 15,000 times per year. The facility offers educational and health-related classes, meals and social opportunities including trips and a variety of clubs.

The Senior Center Task Force was created in June 2009 and is comprised of Community Services Area staff members as well as two city council members, one Park Advisory Commission member, two current senior services experts, two Ann Arbor citizens with Senior Center advisory board experience, one Burns Park neighbor and two at-large Senior Center patrons.
