Anixter Center proudly presents its 2nd annual Benefit for Ability. The highly anticipated event will feature a lively cocktail hour, dinner and an informative program. All proceeds from the Benefit will support Anixter Center’s mission of helping people with disabilities and related challenges live, learn, work and play in the community.

Volunteerism takes center stage at this year’s Benefit for Ability. Volunteers are at the heart of almost everything Anixter Center does. With 32 programs and services at 27 primary locations across greater Chicago, Anixter Center depends on its volunteers to help support the more than 10,000 children, teens and adults who rely on Anixter Center’s services. At this year’s Benefit, Anixter Center will salute and celebrate the many devoted men and women who give of their time and talent to further the organization’s mission, including Benefit for Ability’s honoree, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL).

At BCBSIL, promoting health and wellness is a core business goal and is demonstrated through the organization’s exemplary community involvement and volunteerism. BCBSIL and its employees have logged thousands of volunteer hours, from participating in fund-raising walks and painting schools to providing health screenings. Heralded as a “company that cares,” BCBSIL is dedicated to helping Illinois be a healthier place for all individuals, including those with disabilities and related challenges.
