Animal Encounters July 30, 2011

Fun for all ages! Join us, Wednesday through Sunday, for the following activities: Petting Circle: 10:30 am (Sat, Sun only), 12:30 pm, 3:45 pm. Learn about and touch a rabbit, guinea pig, hamster or rat a family favorite! Raptors! Presented by Chevron: 1:00 pm--Meet a resident eagle, hawk or owl and learn how keepers work with these magnificent birds. Feeding Demonstration: 11:00 am (Sat, Sun only), 2:00 pm--What's for lunch? Watch one of the wildlife ambassadors eat their afternoon meal and learn how animal keepers use meal time to encourage natural behaviors. Mammal Presentation: 3:15 pm--What is animal training? What is enrichment? Watch how animal keepers use positive reinforcement in this training and enrichment demonstration featuring one of our mammal ambassadors. Live Animal Encounters: Throughout the day--Meet an animal ambassador up-close and personal!
