Animal Encounters March 2, 2011

Fun for all ages! Join us, Wednesday through Sunday, for the following activities. Petting Circle--10:30 am (Sat, Sun only), 12:30 pm, 3:45 pm. Learn about and touch a rabbit, guinea pig, hamster or rat a family favorite! Raptors! 1:00 pm--Meet a resident eagle, hawk or owl and learn how keepers work with these magnificent birds. Feeding Demonstration--11:00 am (Sat, Sun only), 2:00 pm--What's for lunch? Watch one of the wildlife ambassadors eat their afternoon meal and learn how animal keepers use meal time to encourage natural behaviors. Mammal Presentation--3:15 pm--What is animal training? What is enrichment? Watch how animal keepers use positive reinforcement in this training and enrichment demonstration featuring one of our mammal ambassadors: bobcat, coyote or ground squirrel. Live Animal Encounters--Throughout the day--Meet an animal ambassador up-close and personal!
