Animal Architects March 19, 2011

Visit Hinsdale Historical Society’s Roger and Ruth Anderson Architecture Center for an exciting opportunity for children to learn about and create animal habitats. On Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 10:00am - 12:00pm, the Anderson Architecture Center encourages children and their parents to drop in anytime to participate in a number of activities. At the event, children will have the opportunity to participate in three different “animal architect” stations. The first station supplies materials for children to become architects by building a child-sized burrow. The second station, designing a home for an imaginary creature, encourages creative thinking and problem solving. At the final station, children will create animals or their homes with Keva blocks. The event is held at Immanuel Hall, 302 South Grant Street in Hinsdale, and is $3 for Hinsdale Historical Society members, or $5 per child for non-members.
