Saturday, January 14 at 7:30 pm -- Vocal Arts Ensemble of Ann Arbor: "Angst and Consolation": Under the direction of Ben Cohen, VAE explores those eternal opposites and complements - pain and joy - and how composers in different eras have expressed them. Magnificats by H. Praetorius and Arvo Part, as well as works by Gjeilo, Grieg, Byrd, Hassler and Victoria, with folk songs and carols from Romania adding some spice.
