featuring
Ingrid Graudins, Liam Davis, Steve Frisbie, & Nora O'Connor
with Angel Snow

“Ingrid & the Unicorns” started out as a pick-up gig with some friends a few years ago, but has continued and evolved into an ever-changing top shelf band of players who she handpicks for every show. Four times a year, her Songwriter Circles at SPACE bring illustrious as well as bright new talent to the stage, all accompanied by her performances of her own songs, and witty interviews with her guests where music, life, love and dreams are celebrated through humor and song. Graudins sings regularly with Boston-based Catie Curtis, and is best known as a former member of Jonatha Brooke & the Story.

Steve Frisbie sings. As often as possible, he sings with Ingrid. For years, he sang and wrote songs for his own band, Frisbie. In recent years, his most noteworthy gigs have been with Chicago's powerhouse Tributosaurus, re-creating for one night only the music of rock's legends (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Queen and many more). His tenor voice demonstrates the sweetness of Ricky Nelson, the sexual silliness of Robert Plant, and the heart of a Midwesterner who really means it, man.

Nora O’Connor is a Chicago-based musician and singer whose vocal talents are the secret weapon behind some of the city’s top performers and recordings. Nora is currently recording with longtime collaborator Andrew Bird, and has recently sung with Nek Case, Jakob Dylan, the New Pornographers and Robbie Fulks. In 2010, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy enlisted Nora as a primary vocalist on gospel legend Mavis Staples’ Grammy Award-winning album “You Are Not Alone.”

Liam Davis is a GRAMMY-nominated musician based in Chicago who spent ten years as a songwriter, guitarist and singer with critically acclaimed power pop outfit Frisbie. Currently, Davis brings his sensibilities to bear on the man-with-acoustic-guitar front and also enjoys collaborating with many of the city's finest performers. Oft referred to as one of Chicago's finest vocalists, Davis combines a unique instrument with a penchant for personal storytelling and an enthusiasm and respect for song craft.

When Angel Snow sings, she hands her heart to the listener. She pours out raw emotion through honest and introspective music. Her unique sound, classic Americana folk coupled with a modern edge, provides a soulful backdrop for lyrics based on everything from personal experience to vivid dreams. The result of this heartfelt songwriting is a labor of love, her debut album, “Fortune Tellers”.
